Compliances

Quality, Information Security & Confidentiality are important to us.
We are a proud member of HBMA (Healthcare Business Management Association).

HIPAA

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 is known by the abbreviation HIPAA. Compliance with HIPAA regulations is a good approach to gauge a healthcare BPO vendor’s skill and reliability in an outsourcing agreement.
Infonetiq Inc. has taken steps to ensure that data security and confidentiality in an outsourcing arrangement are given the same attention as the project itself and is 100% HIPAA and HIPAA 5010 compliant. In particular, handling crucial and private patient information is an element of healthcare compliance. We address all the key elements of HIPAA 4010 and HIPAA 5010 rules, from secure systems and compliance training to confidentiality agreements.
Data Security:

Information mobility is limited by high security firewalls and access tracked computers, which confine it to the computer that the staff is using. When a client requests that we work on one of their servers, we do so remotely through the client’s PC, eliminating the possibility of data theft. When managing client data for a healthcare project, process executives are prohibited or limited from using email. Access to USB devices is prohibited.

HIPAA Training

We only hire highly qualified programmers who have received training in the most recent international coding standards for our healthcare BPO business. The American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC) has accredited the majority of the coders, who have varied degrees of knowledge and experience. As a result of information they get from organizations like the AAPC, the coders at Infonetiq are regularly informed about the most recent techniques.

Physical Security:

Protected health information (PHI) management, system security, and security policy execution are all handled by a security officer. To ensure that no private data is compromised, our employees are checked for any data capture devices. In order to prevent the exchange of paper printouts, we also employ digital copies for data exchange. Our buildings are completely safe because of the 24-hour security personnel on duty.

Employee Background Verification & Confidentiality Agreements:

We thoroughly investigate the pasts of candidates chosen into our firm before to recruiting. Access rights are granted to new workers based on the tasks they are given. General access credentials are given to each employee so they may access their computers and the workplace. Additionally, confidentiality agreements must be signed by every member of our personnel.

As required by HIPAA, all healthcare services staff members get privacy and confidentiality training. Programs for HIPAA compliance are routinely audited, and any violations of compliance are addressed with the creation of corrective action plans.

In addition to the security precautions previously described, we have additionally implemented the following steps to support our continued full compliance with HIPAA requirements:

  • Patient information is not disclosed to unapproved workers or leaked to third parties.
  • Our coding procedure is HIPAA compliant, as is the coding department of Infonetiq Inc.
  • Our diagnostic and procedural coding adheres to high standards.
  • We make sure that the coding is not done solely on the codes’ potential for reimbursement.
